A silver tea pot, a gold coin and the tools of the goldsmith's trade: 600 years in Finland, 1971. Nowadays the company Arabia in Finland probably makes the most well-known tea pots, fairly heavy and able to take everyday family use.

Hi Alexey, The silversmith Paul Revere Jr. (American, Boston, Massachusetts 1734–1818) is probably the most well-known of the early craftsmen who made beautiful tea pots. At that time Americans did enjoy drinking a good pot of tea, but did not enjoy paying exorbitant tariffs on it! This one is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, donated to the museum by the family for which it was made. Quite similar to the one seen in the stamp.

Another antique silver tea pot, beautifully decorated; this one seen on the new French collection of stamps, which do deserve individual mention. Labeled Lille, it might have been produced in that city.

The Russian tea pot from the new French stamp set. Many of the Russian pots are much more colorful than the one pictured here. I'll leave it to Alexey to let us know more about where they are made, etc.

a couple of fine German porcelain coffee pots ... although these coffee pots are very similar to the same tea pots made from quality German porcelain (egg shell quality)

The letter R is the emblem of the Reichenbach porcelain factory. Do not confuse Reichenbach in Thuringia with Reichenbach in Switzerland!

Another tea pot stamp from that new French set, this one showing an English style pot. It appears to be octagonal, but I'll leave it to the specialist to date it and find out where it was made.

A pretty teapot shown on a new Japanese stamp. The brim of the cup looks nice, but it might be difficult to drink from a cup like that. 2017, for the letter writing week.
