It looks more like a corner stamp from a booklet pane. The top perf is the same as the side perfs. Check the perfs and watermark and look for the booklet panes. It did not come from a sheet. |

It is not a 423A, it is a booklet stamp. In any case a 423A is perf 12 x 10 not 10 x 12. |

Magic70, In your initial post, you specifically state: Quote: if iam wrong tell me Yet you have pushed-back against the two responders who have tried to guide you to a different identification of your stamp. I agree with both of them. Your stamp is perf 12 at top and perf 12 at the side. Your stamp has all the characteristics of being a single stamp from a booklet pane, Scott 405. To convince yourself, please post images of your stamp taken aligned with a perforation gauge. |

You are wrong, the perfs are CLEARLY the same. Here is your stamp with the top perfs compared to the side perfs, it is obvious that the perfs are identical. I am sure that your perf gauge is fine, but you are not using it correctly. You have had a number of threads where you have not correctly used a perf gauge. For example, https://goscf.com/t/48331https://goscf.com/t/49927As others posted, please use images with your perf gauge lined up beside the stamp. We will then be able to help you learn how to correctly use the perf gauge. Don |

Here is your stamp with the right perfs cut, rotated and placed to match (exactly) the top perforations. No stamp on the sheet will have two natural straight edges. Blind perfs count. There are 3 blind perfs at top that does not change he perforation gauge. If you still do not believe, then send it off for a cert. Pay $35 for a cert on your $0.50 stamp. |
