Thanks for the compliment Florian, it's nice to see another
stamp engraver aficionado on here again.
As you well know by the mid to late 1980's more and more
Austrian stamps were combination printings with less and less
engraving. Basically just the outline in black but very
few single colour totally engraved stamps were still issued.
The State Printer had some of the best engravers.
Master Toth and Nefe were still capable of excellent production
and the new crop of Laurent,Leitgeb,Pfeiler and Seidel were
only in their forties but already at the top of their game.
Yet within a few years it was all gone.
