Rod, I bought the lot of Italian colonies for my mythology collection because of other stamps in the lot. After I received it, I realized the 10 and 20 Lire shows the Centaur Sagittarius and just yesterday, when I posted the stamps here, noticed the Pegasus on the 3 and 15 Lire. I gladly added this set to my Greek mythology stamp collection.

...and yes, although don't know how fast he was, Pegasus, as you have written, appears on several express mail stamps. Here is one from Italy for express mail:
