And how is it illegal usage? I love these people that list up stuff like this for a bazillion dollars and wonder why it never sells or gets any inquiries. All it's doing is cluttering up space on ebay.

True, but the listing described here is also helping to point out some sellers that ebay buyers may want to avoid.

The irony is that he reports the items stolen and after admitting that the covers are fakes in the thread I go to his sold ebay listings and low and behold he sold them as genuine and the high bidder (private feedback) has 230 bid retractions in the last six months and so on. Yikes!

They were sold as copies, and less then I payed for them as copies.And yes they are missing in the mail and reported as so.Should I take down the cover with the booklet pane pair? of change the add if you say yes I will.But I do see others on ebay around same price and lower

Please post a link/s to the "others" you think are comparable. Also, may I ask why you are listing the cover as illegal usage?

Certainly encourage you to do the right thing here.
The point about "illegal" is not at all true. Nothing wrong with the Treasury department return addressed envelope using regular postage to send mail. What is illegal is using Treasury stamps to send items that are not Treasury business. (Or "Officials" that aren't government business). But that would still be very hard to prove in many cases. No problem with the pair being used as postage.

Well he did drop the outrageous asking price to an auction listing starting at $1. BUT there is a reserve? and $12.50 for shipping?

Here is the next laughable listing. Calling this a 634b Carmine / Lake with no certificate and listed as original gum, no hinge.....on a used stamp. Asking price of $500.

On the pair he states he can have a cert made....I thought it was obtained not made? Leaves me doudting on that one. So, is it he will make one from a printer being dubious or let one obtain one from expertising?

The so called 634b is listed as VF-XF....would be hard to say it is at average at the best. Just my opinion. But hey the beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder. I'm sorry the beholder. It's people like this that makes it hard for other people trying to sell on ebay or anywhere now days.

In my opinion babcockstamps is another ebay seller with badly misleading/misidentified stamp listings that folks should stay away from and not support. He had every opportunity to utilize the expertise in this community to improve his listings but also failed at this.

Luckily they will go unsold. I've noticed that once the seller got called out here we don't see him here defending himself or explaining the thought process behind his listings anymore.
