I would like to confirm that the H. E. Harris Liberty album also breaks down blocks and sheets into singles. They have done this for many years. I chose this album to house my U.S. used collection for that reason. The supplements have pages for the both the blocks and sheets as well as the singles. This flexibility enables the collector to use the pages suitable to his or her preferences. It seems rather odd that Scott finally woke up and recognized this need. Having these page options would be especially useful for those who have the less expensive Scott Minuteman album for their used collection.
Thank you for your thoughtful and considerate letter. My opinion is that Scott is trying to get more people into stamp collecting. One of the first appeals of a stamp album is a sort of useful guide to arraigning your collection. Then we start doing it our way with blank pages that we arrange anyway we want and opening the album and rearraigning pages in other than just alphabetical order.
I like these new albums and I do not see anything xenophobic about them. It is to lure in the young and a great add for the older. I like it.
