I logged out and logged in once and still have both searches. I then logged out & shut down & rebooted & logged back in but still have both searches. Brand new macbook air. |

In a way, comforting to hear,
I thought it was just my computer.
I updated Chrome.
I also have a habit of loading SCF "View last 100 topics"
then load each post in a different "tab" as I read, then close.
Would this routine be offending in some way perhaps?

Only time I get the slow forum is when I click on someone's name to see their other posts. And then I can't even get to the regular site for a little while |

It just locked up on me while trying to go from page 2 to page 3 of this thread.
The site has been slow or no load several times in the past week and a half. Opening a new site and then re-opening SCF seems to solve it. |

Bobby and sysops, perhaps it's time to go back to the Google-only search that was tried a while back. I now see results going back to 2008 (at least), which is way better than before (indexing age limit or limited number of results?) There are topics that clearly go beyond the 10 pages of results allowed now so it could use a footnote for us to use more specific search terms if needed. |

Posting a response has become a bit of a game of Russian Roulette. I responded to a thread a few minutes ago but had the foresight to copy my post to the clipboard. Fortunate thing because the site timed out before the response could post.
Someone doing some heavy searching tonight? |

I have had 3 days of timeouts.
I can load SCF OK, make a reply to a thread, and it can time out.
