I can see why you all are attracted to these KGV stamps -- they just keep coming and so many with great engraving and color schemes.
The Rhodesia over in the Jubilee thread are really spectacular.
Well done, KirkS |

Quote: That Bahrain overprint really jumps off the page, doesn't it? Yes Kirk, especially when I put on my Avatar 3d glasses |

Very funny Kirk. Isn't it amazing how Canada and the U.S. had a joint issue? |

As does this one, received today. It has a grease spot and a smudged overprint, but it's the only one I've found! |

Yes, you don't see them every day. I'd be able to overlook the smudges.
Thanks for sharing it.

That had crossed my mind actually, but the overprint is exact in height and length with the other high values. Most fakers can't manage this skill. Also, I can't imagine why anyone would bother, when the unoverprinted India is valued around the same as the overprinted Bahrain. Unless, of course, they got sick of waiting for one for their collection. The search for this single stamp has been driving me potty. However, it's apacefiller quality until I see another one. For the sake of completeness, here's the high values together. I must get the low values now..... |

jube something seems wrong on the 2s, that's all, while the others seems fine; I am sure you have already checked the embossing effect you sometimes seen through the back on typographed overprints? |

BeeSee, I did check, and there's no embossing evident on any of them, which means they're all either legit or all fakes!.
However, you may well be right, as the overprint is more visible on the back of the 2Rs than the others, which may mean it's not typo. |
