Found this stamp in a box lot purchased recently. Thought I hit the lottery until I turned it over and saw something that didn't look right. Put it under the USB Microscope and found the joke was on me: The joke wasn't funny.

My next step will be to turn it to ash. Why let it ruin someone else's day? |

Now there is an offer from Rod222 that is hard to refuse, especially if you have extra used, even mint copies and a razor blade. |

I would love to own an original. Saw it at auctions but that $3500 + pricetag was just a bit above what I could afford.
I do believe I already own one of those "manufactured" inverts. It was also in a collection I received part of after the owner passed away. |

This reminded me of the time I sent the following stamp on a letter to my uncle who was a formidable Canadian stamp collector. I had done the same trick as the first entry. I thought he would be amazed and leave his collection to me in his will. Sadly, he did not notice the stamp and threw away the envelope. (And left his collection to someone else;) |

Tom, received your forged invert, thank you very much That was the fastest delivery from the US for me, in 10 years. I was gobsmacked at what you paid for postage, please, never do that again, I was expecting a $3 cover. If I can allay some cost, let us know what country you collect and I'll send duplicates. Thanks for the "extras" as well My stamps to you, will be another 10 days away, if I guess right. |

Don't worry about the postage. Happy you like the stamp. I wasn't happy with the emotional roller coaster it put me thru and turning it into smoke, while a fitting sentence, wasn't something the collector in me could stomach. Sending it to the other side of the planet will put enough distance between me and it to allow me to forget I ever stumbled across it.
I'll let you know when your package arrives. |
