The 50k price tag was to generate ATTENTION for the stamp based on one listed at 100k on ebay right now. The seller obviously knew what the stamp was (this still is not getting to some dense people), and the attention was for information on the stamps validation in the opinion of much more experienced collectors. |

Quote: ...still is not getting to some dense people... To the OP, As a Mod, I have visibility into additional information and I am not a 'dense person'. You and the seller are the same person. To everyone else, What is it about these 'cap over number' 220s that generates these kinds of threads? Don |

Don, in an earlier thread about the 220b matter, you asked: "What do you guys think about the possibility of starting a new, online census for Scott #220 varieties?"
I didn't see any follow up here or at Stamp Smarter. Did I miss it or was this idea dropped from consideration? I have a few examples (not 220b!) to contribute to such a census. |

The thing about these ones is that they have to be certified. The first dilemma is, has the stamp been tampered with? Those experts can find that out.of course the experts know the characteristics of what was 220B so they will let you know if you send it in. |
