Hi rod222, what great stamps. I didn't know something like that existed. They look to be of the Edgar Rice Burroughs 'John Carter of Mars' books era or after maybe. I was more into books than comics so I missed out on some good stories me thinks.

The Dan Dare series were a comic strip turned into a comic book series in the 1950's - 1960's. Merchandising put out some really nice items, even a Dan dare Stamp album. The ones shown were from Life Bouy Soap advertising. Very nice ones.

Wow, now guys, that is impressive, I have long wanted to know their genesis, life bouy soap!
I have singletons of the other sheet above, and wondered where they came from, two queries solved at once on this amazing stamp forum.

This isn't rocket science now, but those are pretty spacey stamps.

Surprised Mac,
thought these were a Brit thing.
Every Christmas I would dream of getting an Eagle Annual in the pillowslip
above the fire grate, from Santa, amongst the Oranges, crackers and
Brazil nuts, which gave you an excuse to use Dad's hammer.
