I understand your choice of stamp examples as well, because lets face it, there is no limit to what can be spent chasing virtually any stamp in this day and age and I do not know about you but I am NOT selling any of the jets OR the the island in the Grenadines.

edit: reedededge, I just read your edit. To me, the tone of your above post and the edit seem to be unnecessarily defensive. You show us your stamps and I assume you would like feedback on what we think. Somebody thinks it's cluttered? So what? Someone else points out that an unused-appearing stamp is used? Fine! Say thanks, I knew that, and let it go! Just presume positive intentions.

Yeah, I can understand how my response could be interpreted that way, but that wasn't my intention. I deal with hobbyists for a living, so I feel part of my role is also to be an ambassador. Encourage a potential collector at all costs to come aboard. It's how all hobbies are sustained, and in my case, it's also self-preservation. No hobby-no profession. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if it does anything to dissuade a collector, in my opinion, it is counterproductive to what should be our unified mission. My apologies if I appeared to be lashing out.

Sharp tone can appear in messaging as on this forum. But no matter, Reedededge, I like your clutter and appreciateyour sharing with us. In fact, I want some clutter like yours!

Thanks for posting the images reedededge. Display the stamps any way you please. I collect for my own enjoyment not others so I do as I please!

That has not always been the case. Although I have a really good memory, I am not talking about ancient history. So, I wasn't sure if you knew. Didn't mean to offend and I certainly wasn't running your stamps down. But, this forum is more than just a place where we post our stamps and wait for countless and somewhat hollow accolades. I completely agreed with GeoffHa and it might serve you well to consider what he is saying rather than responding with indignation. As far as your #6 goes, while you may have known the specifics about your stamp, I am sure others didn't. The benefit went to those that didn't know and learned something.

Thank you, sinclair2010. I offered a polite comment - and one that was based on my experience as an occasional user of printed albums and a purchaser of those used by others - that may be considered or discarded as appropriate. I have no wish to induce philatelic angst.

....well, as My Dad used to tell me, "Jealousy is just a compliment in disguise". Quite honestly, I don't need nor were waiting for any "hollow accolades". I just thought others might have enjoyed seeing some of my latest acquisitions. I am proud of the collection I have built, and more importantly, I'm getting immense enjoyment from the process.

Reeded, I'm sure a lot of us have followed some of your other posts and are in awe of your collection with what you've managed to put together so far. Thanks a lot for posting this!

Not sure what is meant by "hollow accolades." When I comment positively on a post or scan, my reaction is genuine. Maybe a little bit of what the psychologists call projection going on here? Anyway, Reededge, please keep it up -- and ignore the negativity (of which there seems to be quite a lot on SCF these days...)

Was wondering if lucky owner above can tell us some more after his personal analysis, as I likely will never have the chance to have one of those sitting on my desk at home.

There appears to be open debate about whether this stamp is actually unused.
In my opinion current owner added an awesome stamp to his collection!

It is certainly up there in appearance, however, it is noted as having a small thin, which has to knock it down a bit. Condition matters.

Certainly, from a face appearing point of view, it's a terrific item, which would fit well in any collection.

There are only 3 recorded unused. Is it possible it is unused? Description at Siegel suggests it is possible. If it is unused then it could be considered best ever. There are nicer sound used copies, but not many (perhaps 3-4). For this stamp issue I would honestly prefer having margins that show the design over a small thin or tiny repaired tear or minute crease. This issue is about observing the full design. Soundness to me is less important
