I just collect Latvia but it's fun seeing items like this. A long slow trip to England just to turn around and come back. Nice! |

I thought that too...or the purple pointed finger hand stamp! I do like the Liverpool squared circle hand stamp too. |

Wonder if the Thatcher the letter is addressed to has any connection to the more famous Thatcher? |

New York to Delaware to Florida in a week for 2 cents. I don't get my stuff that fast (or cheap) from Amazon today. |

Quote: Any markings on the back side of this cover? I'll have a look and post a pic if there is! Great messy covers you 2! I think even messy they have charm and a story to tell. |

Nice covers, each with a story.
If you want some even messier covers, There are postcards (mostly) with multiple forwardings from the earlier 20th century (I think). Some was clearly mail trying to catch up with someone traveling, but many were made just see how far and fast they could go with the help of collectors in various places. I thought they were called racing postcards, but I can't find anything under that name. The interesting bit is to realize how fast the mail moved back in the day without airmail. Got one? Please post. |

I wonder if they ever found Max? I looked through my postcards but the best I could do were a couple with addresses changed by hand no fancy cancels. Hard to tell if they were done by the P.O. or the sender. |
