PF Cert Database Search has now been down for 2 full weeks. I called the PF yesterday and asked about it; they "are aware" of an outage and they "do not have any knowledge of when the outage will end". Sounds like my cable company - lol! |

How is it that their "Early Certificates" search works but their "Certificate Search" doesn't work? |

jogil, they are two totally different databases. The early cert database is literally just scans of their early cert worksheets with no particular order or search capability. The actual PF Search Database that is down now is a fairly robust searchable database yielding the actual certificate wording for their more recent certs. I think its scope is around 1984 to date. |

They are actually scans of the record book pages. Each page is in approximate cert number order. It can be searched by catalog number, but not by certificate number or date.

PF Cert Database Search is back up just now, after an outage length of one day short of 4 weeks. Hopefully it has been made less prone to outages now. |

Well, the PF Cert database was down essentially all of October, then up essentially all of November, and now it has been down since yesterday. Are they alternating up and down by month now - lol! |

The database is still down. This is really ridiculous. What could be done to help them help themselves? |
