Hi stampcrow,

Does your Due 3 cover have any dated contents or reverse docketing?

CC,

It does not. The back flap has a round generic embossing otherwise no other markings, notations or content.

Another patient. This appears to be #11A position 42R3. It has a recut in upper left triangle and a recut in lower left triangle. Also has a guide dot at lower right. This is a relief B with two inner lines. Unfortunate damage upper right.

How do I report "errors" for things I see on stamplating.com that don't look quite right? For example, the color images for 84R4 and 85R4 seem to be swapped. This is of course assuming that the Dr. Chase images are correct.

Update: Perhaps I figured it out. Is it through the Contact Us link on the USPCS site? i.e. https://www.uspcs.org/contact-us/

This one is tricky. Not sure I have it right. It screams of Plate 4 because of the faint left outside frame line. It is relief B and there is a LR guide dot just barely peeking out from under the diamond block near the center. My first stop in the plating wizard results was 28L4, but there was something about the top frame line and the right frame line that didn't seem to be a perfect match. I'll also point out the the reference color image seems incorrect for this position. I kept searching and made notes of 48L4 and 67L4, but those also didn't seem to be a good enough match. I stopped again at 83R4. This one looks like a really good match. The changes in the curve of the top frame line match better as well as the slight pinching in of the right frame line where it begins to be cut off on my stamp. The only thing that does't look exactly correct is the position of the guide dot. On my stamp it seems dead center under the diamond. In the Dr. Chase image it seems ever so slightly off to the right.

Hi, NicholasC,

The website's owner is aware of these misplaced images and will correct them.

Thanks, Classic. I see I made a typo. I meant 85R4 (not 85R5).

Another difficult stamp for me.

Relief A. Two Inner Lines. No recuts. Assumption is that this is a column 1 stamp because of the huge margin. Also expecting this to be #11A. Assuming that is reasonable, I plated as 71R2L after checking all column 1 positions on the 11A plates.

Another pair. I came up with 59L4 and 60L4. Is this clearly wrong? If so, what aspect is wrong?

Here is each half at 1200dpi. There is a very faint doubling of the left frame line on the left stamp.

This one should be a right column stamp because of the wide margin. It is relief B with 1 line recut in upper left triangle. It looks like a match for position 30L1L.

Hi NicholasC,

I agree with your 71R2L plating. That's a nice, clear printing that makes a good reference image. Thanks for showing it.

This one should be a right pane and left column. It is relief A with two inner lines. What I came up with is position 31R2L.

Hi NicholasC,

Your Jan 30 pair is from plate 4, but 59L4 and 60L4 don't look right. Can you check that again? As you may know, lot of plate 4 stamps have doubling of the left frame line.

Hi Classic, thanks. I will double check. Probably not tonight as I'm getting tired and those faint lines are hard to see.
