Show Your US 1851-57 Imperforate Stamps

I have just received another 5 but on covers
One is embossed
Do I keep just the stamp or keep the whole cover?

That depends of what you prefer, but I personally think you should let them on cover.

The 4th stamp there looks like a trimmed 26. There is no bottom frame line.

It's a pretty ugly stamp anyways but I got these 5 plus a whole heap of 26 and 65's for $10.00

I plated one of your #11a, the stamp below, as position 95L3. I can be wrong, so if an expert see I'm wrong, I would like to know. But I'm almost sure I'm right.

And, again, the better picture helped me a lot. So, the best characteristics were: one vertical line recut at upper left triangle, jumbo white margin at bottom, and the part of the other stamp at left.

I did a research on plating wizard and put as characteristic: #11a, any plate of it, 1 recut in upper left triangle. I got 174 results. The jumbo margin at bottom enormously helped me. It can only be from the last row, and can't be on the left border side of the sheet, because there's another stamp at left. The relation with the inner frame line and outer frame line is a really important characteristic. On the part of the stamp at left, we can see a little of this relation, and the space between the inner and outer ones were quite narrow. When you look at the space between on the left side of the stamp we can entirely see (95L3) it is quite larger than on the left position part (94L3).

Thank you for having proposed to me to plate a couple of your 3c Washington. I had a lot of fun plating them, and permitted me to have a little "refresh" of plating the 1851-57 3c.

Three #10As scanned together with different color cancels, from left to right:

60L1E with a grid cancel that looks like brownish magenta to me

94L2E with a red grid cancel

24R5E with an orange or orange-red grid cancel
