Nice Classic Coins! I'd like to find the 98-99L3 pair or any one of those plate 3 multi frame line pairs.

Again I wish this was on a full cover. This is only a piece.

I don't know much about the history of Messenkopes but that it was a Local Post Office in Union Square NYC. Scott specialized Catalogue lists it as a Local Stamp 106L1.

Scott notes: Established by Charles Messenkope in 1849 and sold to Joseph Dunham in 1850.

Not sure mine is authentic.

Thanks, Moyock13.

Here are two pairs from the "Three Rows," 69-70L3 (top) and 79-80L3 (bottom). Sort of a reconstructed block of four.

Each pair has one extra line at left and a missing line at right on the left stamp; and a missing line at left on the right stamp.

I guess I can contribute this local post with a 3 cent imperf. The local is a Swart's stamp (136L9) and indicates that Swart's carried the letter to the post office

This is an old scan.
Again, wish it was still a full cover and I'm not sure it's authentic.
