Thank you Laurie. I was most surprised in that the ebay listing showed only the front and one had to explore the listing further to realize the reverse was the wow! This was how it was listed:

Laurie - on your cover, the 1c stamp is pre-paying the carrier fee, to carry the letter to-the-mails. New York had carrier service at this time.

Also the New York cancel looks likely to be one of the Duplex cancels they started using around this time. This, where the CDS and killer were combined together in one device.

Here are #26 imprint positions 41L24, 70R28, and 60R24.

The late, great philatelist Wilson Hulme, former curator of the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum, kindly plated these for me in 2001.

This is a Scott #20 with not-great centering. It is noteworthy, however, in that it can be plated as position 9R11 (Neinken drawing included below). From the plating standpoint less is known about Plate 11 than about any of the other One-Cent Franklin plates. There are students of this issue working the problem and making progress, but the results of this research have yet to be published.
