Here's a French hommage to haute couture from 1953 Yvert 941/Sc. 687. Scott calls it "Mannequin," which doesn't seem right anymore. Maury "Haute couture" which is even on the stamp seems to convey better the sense of it. I rather prefer the one following from 1955. To me this celebration of glovemaking screams fashion -- bygone fashion I suppose. Y 1020/Sc. 764   |
