This January 27, 2003 meter of the Israel Postal Authority features symbols of its service: an envelope, a package, a jet aircraft, and the universal symbol for internet communications. Interestingly, the tones of the meter exhibit the phenomenon of simultaneous contrast. In this instance, the symbols appear to be lighter/whiter over the dark background than they appear over the light background.  |
