What Is Going On In Georgia?

Just got a call from the USPS that my signature required envelope that was attempted to be delivered on October 6th is sitting in a PO some 15 miles away. They said the reason it has not been delivered yet is that I have to sign for it ont he back of the envelope. When I asked how am I supposed to sign when it still has not been brought to the house, she just said she will have it delivered today if I will be home. That is now 13 days after the initial attempt and 11 days after my redelivery request. Great servise USPS.

Its happened to all of us at one time or another. I'm just worried about out ballots.

I am waiting on several pieces of mail that have tracking and none of the scans make a lick of sense and they are taking forever. Anybody that thinks that the USPS can move millions and millions of ballots safely and efficiently are delusional. Heck, I just want my stupid Hawid mounts!!!

So is it safe after mail-in ballot crush to ship stamps ? What's the most you would risk shipping?

"Safe" is all relative. I had a stamp shipment come via USPS yesterday in a rigid mailer and it was opened with just the stockcard gone. I am losing every ounce of faith in the postal service and want everything possible to ship via Fedex or UPS. My mail is also becoming painfully slow. Everything with tracking is "Late".

I'm currently waiting on a small selection of stamps to arrive from Florida. They shipped late last week, but without tracking so I'm not able to watch the delay "in real time."

They'll hopefully arrive in the next couple of days. But if not, I'll get my money back via Paypal.

The only mail I lost this year were people buying from me who have very low feedback , they are male and when you Google their address the residentance
is mostly worth less than $200,000 . Never a late delivery and a offer of repayment for the lot that was delayed and refund given .

My local Postmaster had simply said the mail jams up with ballots then comes Christmas crush.So maybe FedEx or Ups for valuables ?

After my large auction last month so far all the international mail has been just fine. Some of it arrived in record time to previously difficult places like Russia, India and Pakistan. On the domestic front some of the mail has been slow and I'm missing a few deliveries - San Diego CA, Michigan and Puerto Rico. I'm hoping they are not lost, but just stuck in the jam someplace and it will be resolved soon.

Stopped trying to figure it out and just assume everything is getting there or I'd get a "Where are my stamps" message. Still do get them occasionally and it's usually a first class letter that takes a week-10 days. As if I'm supposed to ship out a $4 purchase tracked...

Odd part is a .55 letter gets from Kalif to the east coast in 3-4 days yet a Priority Envelope to Socal takes a fricking week. Absolutely zero rhyme or reason.

On the plus side, the last time a package from the US "went astray", it eventually arrived three months from despatch date.

I've recently shipped a number of packages that until the day they were delivered, a week or so later, showed that they were still at the post office that I mailed them from.
