Hi Rod,
Amazing result for the Billigs books given the estimate. Sorry you missed out there.
Kellow's signed book went for $90 and the unsigned went for $125
Lowe's Asia went for $200 & Leeward Islands for $300. The latter is just plain ridiculous given the number of copies available on Abebooks for way less than $300. Lazy buyers in my opinion. One copy of Asia is on Abebooks for US$100 and has the dustjacket. Naturally, no buyers premium on Abebooks to pay either.
Given the Asia at Abacus didn't have the dustjacket makes me think what price might be paid for a copy with the DJ? |

Thanks Rob, that equates to $1500 + AUD My target is to get a collection under $1,000 Bobby, Ah! yes it was the Leeward Islands a possible World record. I ended up liking Abacus Interface. I'll return, even if its to see the Outrageous prices $875 for a 1d cherry red Kangaroo |

I'm only really bidding on a few bits and bobs at Phoenix these days. They have the material and I'm happy to buy or bid.
As for selling my excess material, they're the best in the country as far as I'm concerned. No fuss, plenty of communication/consultation and quick settlement. Who could ask for more? |

Good shopping. I had a full set purchased with Phil Bansner about a year ago. Then got a call that he was missing some of it so I chickened out.... |

Rod,
I forgot to mention in my email to you that several of the volumes you're missing are available on AbeBooks. If you decide to acquire the missing volumes at some point and run into the same shipping problems, feel free to use my address again. |

The Regent Encyclopaedia is a great little book!
The other forerunner is the "Handstruck Postage Stamps of the Empire". I have the 1941 edition with its uneven pages. Lowe must've had some pull to obtain the paper for the book. |

They have arrived ! No damage, but dashed heavy. 40Lbs (18.1 Kg) 38 Billigs Handbooks for $157 US May I take this opportunity to thank SCF member BmBmBm, for the recommendation, and PostmasterGS, as proxy, for paying on behalf of me, packaging and shipping. (and of course the American Philatelic Research Library) Amazing friendship. I am humbled. A 5 year quest finalised, at an amazing saving. |
