To ensure no animals where harmed in the making of this thread,
I had to invest a little bit for an example.
I've spent a bit of time over the last couple days reading and examining
And we'll I'm a idiot....at this point I do believe that the stamp is on GC paper (keeping in mind only blue fibers are present and GC paper can also be brownish,greyish but also a whiteish)
I think there's a good chance it stained the paper at some point
I really didn't pay much for my example so the cost of certification seems excessive
I'm not looking to sell or anything like that.
I'm not doing this for bragging rights.
I seen something and wanted to know more and I feel I did, so I'm good and grateful and can be done with it
My question is would me spending the money to have it certified help anyone else?

You need to forget this, mon ami - the 50c wasn't issued on GC paper.
