I get the hard copy of the SMQ and they do not publish modern values. They are likely on the PSE website because if they graded it why not add it? Dealers that I know are not interested in modern graded stamps that I know of. Of course if it can be sold someone will. A NH 100 copy of 1066 has an SMQ value of $165? LOL How was that value arrived at? People will grade anything and PSE will assist because it is money in their pocket. 112 copies of 1066 have been graded including hinged and used copies. There were over 58 million 1066 issued. You can buy blocks and sheets all day long. Grading these things just seems absurd. But hey, what do I know?

If you want to get modern stamps graded go for it. It is your money and your collection. All good.

The grading of modern stamps makes little sense ... except, of course, to PSE, for whom it makes lots of cents. Stamps from about 1940 on were, for the most part, produced in prodigious quantities, and many of them are very well-centered and hence should grade high. The reason for high SMQ values for earlier stamps is their scarcity. Without the scarcity factor, SMQ values for later stamps are mostly meaningless. In other words, SMQ values for earlier stamps are primarily market-driven ... those for modern issues are, to a considerable extent, plucked out of thin air.

I use to collect USA, India, Canada, UNO all mint from single to sheet
where I lived and membership. Now as health do not permit almost stopped all collection. India I started in 1954 issue of 1947 on ward.
