They are showing the products available but it clearly states from May 6th-8th. It is though, only a partial list.
One can pre-order in advance and the items will be despatched on day of issue or the day before. In the May 8th issues they will be despatched the day before, the 8th being a saturday.

As far as I am aware, the PUC reproduction pack is not available from the Post Office, only from the Guildhall Art Gallery.

Londonbus1....and from me too of course !

I looked at the Royal Mail site, and I'm up to £27 already (and no, the press sheets aren't for me), not including the extra goodies Mr D Decker will be able to snaffle. I better send him LOTS of money....

But just think, you can cut out a Tete-Beche pair for your collection, a scarce item to have, and then sell the other 9 pairs for a profit !

Yikes ! What am I saying

Londonbus1.....giving away all his good ideas !

Or consider this;

We buy a sheet together and split it !

I do not need a Press sheet [another Royal Mail gimmick/money grabber in my opinion] but a TB pair would be nice.

How about it ?

Londonbus1....full of good ideas !

I'm not familiar with the format or nature of the following item:

8 May Philatelic Bulletin Supplement - The George V Royal Cypher Issue. A5 illustrated booklet "which provides a highly detailed look at many of the stamps issued during George V's reign starting with the Downey head." (£2.95)

Is it likely to contain useful information for the collector, or is it strictly a souvenir targeted to the masses?

By the way, if there will be tete-beche pairs to spare, I'd join in.

These supplements contain some great info and are keepers.
They are given away free to Bulletin subscribers and then go on sale for £2.95 at the Bureau and some Post Offices.
I have a collection going back almost Twenty years, but they are not too frequent, once a year at most.
Highly recommended.
I will not receive mine before my trip in May so I will not be able to vouch for the content, but if the past is anything to go by then I would say it's worth the outlay.

If we are 4 in this little 'Tete-Beche' quandary, then I will make a suggestion. Let me think about the pitfalls and advantages first and I will put forward my idea tomorrow. We must be quick, there are only 2010 Press sheets available and I would like to order this week after the hols....to be early in the queue as it were.

More tomorrow.

Londonbus1....Exciting isn't it [But no Banana]

I don't want to gum up the works on the tete-beche matter. If it isn't helpful to have me in the equation, I can bow out. If there is an easy way to make a spot for me, then great.

Not at all Cjd !
The more the merrier....or should I say, the more the cheaper !
I don't think any of us collect Press sheets, I rued the day RM started doing this. They have always been issued in limited quantities, usually the year number, and this one is no exception. But mostly they don't sell and always available from the Philatelic service.
But this time is different.
Tete-Beche and Major Exhibition are two good reasons to get in early.
I only need one Tete-Beche Pair and there are Ten to a sheet so split four ways is only about £8 each before postage and we get TWO PAIRS and a single !
I will think about the details and post tomorrow.

Londonbus1....Needs to borrow some Bananas !
