Double prints (more a shift in the paper during printing rather than a genuine 'stamp printed twice' scenario) aren't uncommon on Sydney Views or Laureates.

Gee I've seen some steep prices because of the variety though!

Extended selvedge? It's the sheet margin. The stamp is position 25, ie: bottom right corner of the sheet.

Paper shift, that's new to me, but makes sense indeed.
I think I would prefer a unshifted example, myself.

Way back in the day the Sydney Views were among the most collected stamps and were the earliest to be plated.

The 2d plate 1 is an exquisite piece of engraving.
