What Do You Do With Your Duplicates?

Any common postage stamp, even damaged ones, can be cut up and transformed into a works of art. I have played around cutting up damaged old stamps trying to copy these old Chinese masters, but it is a lot harder than you think. Check out the link below for examples of their work, and save those dups for an artist someday.

FOMO - Fear of Missing Out. Does anyone else find that applies to duplicates. Maybe it is a different watermark or worse, maybe the one I am keeping is not as nice as the so-called duplicate. I know - I will just keep it there and do a little bit more investigation.

i'm about 50/50 dealer and collector, so I sell surplus of stamps on auction or to minor dealers.

it's rare that people get together and swap stamps these days, so I see no point in having stock books, and glassines is just plain idiotic.

you can't really see the stamps in those (defects etc). IF you insist on having a stockbook, only save the 3-5 best copies, and throw the rest in bulk lots.

chances are you'll never meet someone who needs more than 1-2% of the stamps in your stockbook anyway, so it's more or less wasted work.
