Ken - I don't think that SAN changed the dates. Remember when you corrected me and I changed the dates in the title?

Yes I know but if you look at items 2001-2347 they all show as "Closed" as if the auction bidding was over. If you look at the item 2348 to the end they are all still open.

2347 was the cutoff lot for the 16 July bidding and 2348 was to start off the 17 July session. Both wrong dates of course.

They'll fix it.

In the meantime, I nearly soiled myself when I clicked on My bids and the page was empty 0_o

Hopefully the watched lots will be restored - I went through and made my "long list" of about 40 lots a few days ago...

I have an appointment to view the Kelleher items on Thursday, I can't imagine how annoyed I'd be if I got there and they were all sold!!

Got the Yellow hard copy of the auction catalog today .Sounds like they can put up a sign on the front door to this auction ,it reads "NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ".

Speaking of Rasdale, lots are posted up on their site as of today (not yet on SAN). Haven't had much of a look as yet.

gmot------Got to sit down last night and review what Rasdale put up on SAN's . Very much surprised how much of the material is not what I call collectible collections .Their listings do mention where some of the material is from . Maybe it is me but it sounds like these were all hoarders . A serious lack of collections more just piles of loose material .

Agreed. I also went through it yesterday and made my initial watch list. There's some definite dross in there, and overall not as strong as the Kelleher offerings. Timing that way works out well, with having Kelleher come up first.

Although since I went a little overboard at Sparks recently - they had loads of high-quality Canada that went surprisingly low - doubt I'll buy more than a few lots at either...

Thinking to go after two lots today at Kelleher today ......surprised their U.S. and related areas yesterday where not real aggressive bidding ,it was their normal auction pricing . Clearly wasn't like Rumsey the other day .

Too many collection auctions are hitting the market this month with ebay ,sales slumping off for August ,but buyer are looking at time to work on stuff and prepare for the fall .
