I often wonder how much work/research/dealer visits/internet hours are hidden behind displays such as this.

With the British Empire Exhibition held in 1924 and 1925, your 1876 cancellation has no relation to the subject.

Is it letter "B" or number "8" on the top of the postmark from 1876 ?
What is the meaning of this letter or number ?
