If you look carefully in the white space in the LL corner first, quite close to the corner edges, you can get a faint image of the LL corner of the black box which was drawn on the Roosevelt pages over which the proofs were pasted.

Since this series does not usually come under my radar, I must ask, although not yet Scott listed/recognized, what proportion of these 5c Jeffersons in Roosevelt albums are type I like this example? Ditto the question for type II?

They are all type I. This is one of the corrections requested to the catalog which currently shows 42P2 as type II.
