Rod, I checked my stamp and it has several (6-8) dark spots in the back. I assume it caused by the laser printing.

Thanks Eli, for your backup observations.
Curious that the author in SG did not mention them.

Here's a thought........

Perhaps the burnt "chads" from the perforation cut outs ?

Can you get a loupe on yours, for an in depth squizzy ?

...not as You say, at all: "...One could be forgiven, thinking this a stamp "Tab" or label....".
It is stamp for domestic use only, and most for domestic use have no face value!

First sample from this post, show us ATM (Automatic Teller machine), long time ago, it was (machine) installed in and out of Post Offices, where You can buy stamps at any time of the day (sample I have is for Season Greetings - Christmas), this stamps have 'half four hole" but over time, ATM changed to more modern with much improved printer and design.

The period where Israel didn't print year on stamp is gone, and today, they have it printed.

(shown: sample of modern period ATM stamp 2018 year)
