I saw a listing recently where the seller stated something to the effect of striving for 100% positive feedback, because any negative feedback impacts them financially. Thus, negative feedback must be pretty powerful.

I looked at both the current listings and sold listings for ID 'scresources' and found indications the seller is not that knowledgeable about stamps based upon some word choices. Un-Perf Pair really stuck out. That said the sold prices are all low for items sold and seem to reflect the level of quality he is selling. Likely his regular customers bid accordingly to prior purchase conditions.

I even saw one sold item I would have been willing to bump from under two dollars up to at least five or so and gum present, condition thereof or lacking did not matter due to being precanceled.

Certain low star ratings carry a high cost to the seller as well, even more than a negative rating.

The default ebay sort is "best match" and sellers can be blocked/lowered down in that search. However, when one lists by time listed or price^/v the seller is not affected with items appearing in the proper locations of the chosen sequence.
