Thank you!

It Does have elliptical perfs. I mis-spoke myself. And the ever-nice maple Leaf perf between in the center also. Easy to tell the booklet and souvenir sheet stamps apart when you have singles.

I had to go out and get some sauerkraut for dinner tonight and went to the Real Canadian Superstore. Right next to it is a Shopper's Drug Mart with a post office. I did NOT want to spend any more money, my stamp budget was blown this morning. However, some sort of philatelic Tractor Beam PULLED me inside! Well it was worth it, I found one black counting tab and two blue "1"s with the control numbers (014765 and 68), that was from 20 booklets they had left out of 50.

Perhaps the Gods of Philately (wherever they may be) are looking favorably upon you this day.

The excitement of the chase and hunt.

Yes Puzzler, until my wife finds out where our wine budget went!

Here are scans of my counting tabs:

The scan does not show the very light gray one very well, but in actual fact, you can see the indentation in the cardboard on both sides. This one came from the pack of 50 I examined, and was the only one that had anything resembling a counting tab.

Will be looking forward to your finds.

The Maple Leaf is part of the perforations, it goes right through, not the first time for Canadian stamps - for those who are not familiar with Canadian issues.

Wow, that counting tab mark is very faint. Took me three times looking at that pic to pick up that you have one booklet front laid over on top of another booklet front.

Could you open up the booklets and do a scan of both with front and back showing? Please? Thanks!

Muchly appreciated Bee See. Stunning indeed. Very hard to spot. I will keep my eyes wide open going in to the next 'viewing' at a post Office.
Thanks.

Now who is this Philby? Didn't that used to be a spy name? I seem to remember it from somewhere?

Yes Moonbird, please do tell us. If I remember, you were at another unveiling too that you wrote about on SCF here.
