To new collectors and readers ,there is a few things to understand about TOGO STAMPS .
First you can divide TOGO STAMPS into three sections ,first the early series of very expensive stamps which goes into the thousands of dollars each and then since many of these are overprints ,now your dealing with forgeries and getting cert's per stamps .Some very expensive stamps . This alone stops many collectors .
Second is the middle sections of stamps these are the long sets section ,most collectors pick up the lower and cheaper parts but miss out on the high values to complete the sets . Again this stops a lot of collectors because these are usually purchased seperately and they cost money ,not found in most collections .
Third section is all the cheap wallpaper found from the 1960's and up ,these you find both in a lot of collections and in bulk lots .
On the subject of TOGO collections ,they are hard to find as a country collection at the larger public auctions ,the last nice collection I seen was at Gregg Manning in 2003 and it had a lot of the midrange long sets and it was active bidded . You also find TOGO in large French Colony collections but these collections are into the thousands of dollars for bidding .
Over the years ,I made up about 50 pages into a album ,here are my early airmails ,most of the collection is the more common wallpaper stuff which I picked up in bulk lots .
