Someone in one of my clubs had 7 boxes packed up and shipped to the auction by Kelleher. Five were sold in December with the consignor told the mid-five figure payment would be coming in March. The other two boxes will be in the March collections sale. Perhaps due to sheer volume, Kelleher related activity is a bit slower. |

THREE DAYS .......yes three days and nobody can tell me if I won a lot during a public stamp auction !
Can you tell me again how computers will speed up the bidding process and help spread information quicker , before I start looking for someone to slap to wake them up . |

It's the reason I stopped participating in book bid sales. I want to see the lots hammered down. Call me a cynic but I do not have enough faith in my fellow man to trust them to not screw me. |

Happened to me several times. Shows I'm high bidder on SAN and days or sometimes weeks later I find out I wasn't high bidder.
Siegel is much more predictable.
Also, let's not get started on consignor payout. I'm waiting on payout from auctions completed last Fall from a very well known stamp firm. All of my items had certificates, evidently some issues with *some* buyers not paying. |

Welcome to day 4 of no postings from SAN's or Kelleher about them saying prices realized but there are none posted . Then does anyone know if the Turkish Earthquake collapsed the office of Kelleher Stamp Auctions .. |

I can't understand why Kelleher takes so long to list their auctions. The Collections auction is coming up March 10 & 11 but still no auction catalog. Rasdale is this weekend and if I were Kelleher I would make every effort to get my catalog out before that. I know I've bought at Rasdale and afterwards wished I waited for Kelleher but I never know if they'll have something I want so I buy from Rasdale.
I asked one of the principals why they wait so long to issue catalogs. Their answer was that if they issue them too far ahead the bidders will lose them. I guess they don't think much of us! |

A month ahead is the longest for most of the UK auction sites I use (not just stamp/card ones) show their lots. On some, it's a fortnight. |

The prices realized are now posted on SAN. You have to look at all of the lots because many did not sell and simply say "closed". |

ROGDCAM ------Something is seriously wrong . First I bid on 10 lots all my bidding is done on SAN's . After reading your posting ,I went on the auction page . All the lots I bid on says CLOSED . Did SAN's loose my bids ? No because all the lots in the British section says Closed .
WHERE ARE MY BIDS ???? My SAN'S purchase totals for 2023 show only other firms none from this Kelleher Auction . So I got nothing .........and nobody else got nothing ... Something is wrong ......I think their computer crashed Sunday Night .........expect them to relist parts of this auction for Sunday after this Sunday ,they put too much into this listing of the auction to just collapse it . |

Rogdcam - I am getting an error page from that link. Maybe that is the point you are trying to make. And, maybe they've (SAN?? Kelleher???) had a problem with the auction. And maybe now they are scrambling to get it fixed. So, floortrader, I would not assume that you have not won anything.
FWIW, many companies that do the 'weekly' sales tend to not have PR's posted. It becomes apparent when they post their next (or the one after that) weekly sale, and you see all those lots recycled in another sale. And that's EVEN IF you put in what you think is a valid bid because it is above the bid that they started it at. I don't know why all companies don't simply start at the minimum amount they are willing to accept, but my experience is that not all companies do that. Logically, I don't get it, but I have seen it. |
