Floortrader

Great complete sets/pages of Indochina !

I find this an attractive area to collect but a difficult area to get complete sets.

There are plenty of partial sets out there, but to get complete sound sets a premium seems required.
So, as I have not been willing to pay premium, I only have partial sets.

Ah well, such is the life of a generalist.

THINKSTAMP ,thanks for the kind words and thoughts on stamp collecting .

Getting complete sets has been fixation of mine over the past few years.

I never read a article or story about the long journey a stamp collector has to take and all the different phases and distractions one faces on their journey .Over the years having read many stories both on this and other chat boards and in philateltic magzines about starting a worldwide collection . But those stories never cover the growth and the failure of most collectors during the intermediate stages of being a worldwide collector .

I would like to see the stories of the development of these intermediate collectors to their journey to advance WW collectors .

Floortrader -

Those are really good-looking Indochina pages. Beautiful.

There is something about a mint set of definitive-type stamps with a wide range of ink colors that has always appealed to me. One of my favorite things to collect.

Thanks for posting them.

Thanks Dianne .. Talking about full pages in a album .....my experience was the same as a thousand other youngsters ,it was filling a page of U.S. stamps for some thing like the years 1960 to 1963 , It cost me about 12 cents to buy the six missing stamps from a 2 cent table at a stamp show . Was so proud to have a completed page

For sure floortrader

If only it was so simple now a days. Hopefully the Garden Center will slow down soon and I can show some of my recent completed pages. :)
