Quote: That cover is #47 in Molnar and Waugh's census. Thank you for that. I believe it may have been offered for sale as Lot 314 by Moss Green in their Sale 135, but I don't know what it realised. I picked it up for $21.50 on ebay, described simply as "rare must have", starting at $1. It came with a Moss Green lotting card. |

Quote: described simply as "rare must have" That seller consumes a lot of my time trying to find what I want but, like you, I have picked up a number of well-priced scarce items. |

Thank you. I was considering if just used for the royal carriage duties, it may not fit into that description.

Thanks Plateflaw - one of the rarer strikes. Peck lists two of these C types, both rated 8 on his rarity scale of 1 - 10 (10 is rarest)
- TPO No. 2 N B is the third type of TPO 2 North
- TPO No. 3 N B is the first type of TPO 3 North

Don't see a lot of these marking on envelopes from Australia, here in the US, at least the stuff that I do see. Thanks for sharing, makes me want to look harder! Ha! |
