The bill would only be large if it was certified as real. Otherwise, you will be out of pocket maybe $27 plus shipping costs.

I don't really think some people read other comments.

And what is "large" in this context? For some that is a $50 fee; but here it is many hundreds or thousands of dollars. while not all may read all comments, clearly not all who read comments understand said comments.

Not wide enough to be 594.
Not tall enough to be 596.
You will be wasting your money getting a cert, but sometimes that is the only "cure". But even then, will you believe the result if it comes back as something else?

Let's see, if you would spend $27 for a cert that tells you have a $1 stamp what would a thinking person imagine the fee for a real 596 costs?

Hmmmmmm, let me think........

Could the fee possibly be in the submission paperwork?

A tough one for sure.

Just to be a bit scientific here, I have marked (in red) on your image 22.5mm as accurately as I could on your ruler. As can be seen, it is out by about a half millimeter at the top and about a quarter millimeter at the bottom.

Not counting any other possible errors, at best your stamp image is 21.75 mm tall.

This is nowhere near enough to be a 594 or 594.
