It pays to check the watermarks on those Danzig stamps. While the upright/sideways watermark varieties are listed in the main stamp catalogs, the listing is not complete. I've found a few over the years that are not listed. |

Belongs to a series of about 20 cinderellas on which lost colonies of Germany are shown. I am not good with links. But if you google for Verlorene kolonienen 1920 briefmarken. You will probably find some pictures. kind regards, Johan. |

I'm not familiar with that exact set, but there are several sets of almost identical design (different colors, additional "Vermissten Hilfe" language) which were printed post-WWII to benefit the Vermissten Hilfe (help for the missing), a group that tried to reunite German families after the war. |
