I think to wrap up the 243 I surmise that what originally happened is the stamp was fraudulently placed on cover and had the fake cds added since the CV is 2500 on cover vs 1500 MH or 775 Used. The stamp was later removed and ended up in my hands eventually. Still crazy that someone would do that in my head.
I've gotten some nice items over the last few months after Boston 2026. Besides the Scott 20 Type II's I got on cover and off cover, I also got the following items below:
10x1 Providence 5c Provisional. I got this at Boston 2026 but didn't show it until now. It is NG and has a fold in the selvage. Still a pretty example. Maybe I'll try to get a sheet in the future if one comes up and I've saved up the funds.
Scott 34 (pos 64L1) 10c Washington with red cds. I am trying to get all the 10c 1857 series with red cancels and I also wanted to be sure 34 was the double recut position too. Just a 31/Type I remains! I got a clean 2026 cert from the auction house before I accepted it. I just got it in the mail today after 2 months of patient waiting.
Scott 64, true pink 3c Washington (with 2026 cert) for a color reference. It has a corner fold in the bottom right
Scott 87, E grill 2c Jackson with a starburst cancel
Scott 88, E grill 3c Washington with a blue grid cancel and big margins
Scott 449, Type I 2c Washington rotary press with horizontal perfs

I am starting to look at accumulation lots at various auction houses. I am hoping to get a small lot with some fun items to sort related to fancy cancels/classic used 19th century US. We'll see what the fall auctions and shows can bring up for the right price!
