Actually, there's another Persian revenue(?) just like it, except that it has an ADDITIONAL panel below that "oblong space". It was in the Witt Collection, and he also has a note that it is not listed in any of the major stamp/cinderella/revenue catalogs.
I didn't reply earlier, because it wasn't the exact same stamp.
You're quite right Kim, SCF has made me a little lazy, I used to check Forbin and Byrum before posting. There are a few, Byrum curiously does not list Iran or Persia, Forbin has a few, but I think mine is dated outside Forbin.
As a guess I'd say a Passport Revenue Patience will have it ID'd before long :)
