jorgesurcl,

Thanks for posting the souvenir card with the Liberia monkey image. Now I know for sure the origin of my "rare" item!

Jorg, I have three sets engraved and printed by the ABNC: the 1943 overrun countries flag set of USA, the 1942 animals set of Liberia and the 1956 UPU stamps of Vietnam. Problem is that I can't find the engraver names. Do you know good source online where I can find the engraver's names?

LaoPhil

I have information on some of them, if you want to post them here.
I don't know any online site with information for the others stamps you ask about.

1943 - USA Overrun countries:
Frame engraved by William Adolph (1866-1947)
Flags printed in Offset/Litho

1942 - LIBERIA Animals:
Royal Antelope:
Vignette: William Fraser Ford (1895-1963)
Background: Warrell Alfred Hauck (1912-1983)
Frame & Lettering: ?

Zebra Antelope:
Vignette: Sydney F. Smith (1901-1942)
Background: Warrell Alfred Hauck (1912-1983)
Frame & Lettering: ?

Regarding the others stamps, it is a new research task for me and if I find some information I will share it with you so you can post it

Many thanks, jorgesurcl, for your kind reply and the information provided . Since you provided me the engraver's name and the printing methods of the overrun countries series, I will post them first.

The Overrun Countries series was a fifteen-month series of thirteen commemorative postage stamps issued by the USA in 1943 and 1944 as a tribute to thirteen nations overrun, occupied, and/or annexed by the Axis Powers during or shortly before World War II.

The stamps have same frame engraved by Arthur C. Vogel (1896-1959) and each stamp has a different flag printed by Offset/Litho. The American Banknote Company printed all.

Here is one stamp in high resolution for example and the complete set:

Thanks again, jorgesurcl
