If this had a chance of being another 85A, Scott Trepel of Siegel Auction Galleries would fly to Sicily this week, pick up this four million dollar stamp (2024 Gross Sale) from you and handle all of the submissions.

Let us know how you make out.

FYI-The signature on the reverse of the 10 cent Z grill was George B. Sloane, one of the great dealer/writer experts of the Twentieth century.

There's plenty of certified examples of the 2c/3c Z grill on ebay or hipstamp to check out for reference.

Scott would probably add a few days on to the trip to hunt up excellent wine and a few great restaurants

There is no grilling device that would make some points horizontal and some vertical except for the edge columns on a Z grill which often look like vertical ridges. But not in the middle like that. All I see are vertical ridges. So it is probably an E grill. I have a dozen Z grill stamps and have examined many more.

A few people who post here have examined a number of Z grill stamps, but are not necessarily believed.........

Hello rogdcam and thank you for providing the OP the link above. That is why I started that thread, for reference, and it is gladdening to see it used as such.
