Here's one for today. Dated march 10th 1893, from Hamburg, in Germany. By the way, can someone explain me what is the "11" on the postmark?  |

There are several post offices in Hamburg and they are numbered, so this stamp is cancelled at the post office Hamburg 11. At the bottom you can se something that looks like 3N or 8N. 3N is short for 3 Uhr Nachmittags which means 3p.m. |
