Austria stamps are "cool" to me just because they have a lot of old stamps. 9 pages of regular issues plus 3 more for semi-postals and 11 back-of-book. Germany is similarly prolific along with France, just off the top of my head. Austria stamps are relatively inexpensive for a lot of those issues so you can get a nice full page in your album.

I do not try to figure out if any of my Austria stamps are special, I just assume they are not.
