weekly catching up, 101 to 106: Mike, I admit being puzzled by the lack of participation in this thread, the lack of questions about markings and their meaning here, etc. Even the originator of this thread hasn't chimed-in here in nearly 3 months. I agree, the higher numbers tend to be local series like these numbered dials from Chicago Universal Model-G machines, which are pretty boring and mundane to the vast majority of collectors:     And backing up a bit, 101 from Louisville, Kentucky, which has a series of these numbered killers:  104 from Austria. What is the meaning of the number?  |
