I see 1(sorry now 2) sellers out of London selling Forever commemorative sheets in an auction format on ebay every week(closing on Sundays I believe). These items ship free. While I haven't been following the price realizations, this seems too good to be true.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these are Chinese counterfeits. I had seen this previously with high value priority and express mail stamps and definitives but not commemoratives. The first seller, who has been at it awhile, has feedback that says he sells counterfeits. The second seller is new(also out of London) with 30 odd feedbacks(none as a seller after 10 plus years on ebay), the same material and free shipping.

Has anyone bought these sheets and can attest to their authenticity?

Thanks

Bob

dr

I didn't post the name(s) because I thought it would violate forum rules. Plus it is pretty easy to search US Forever Sheets Auction. They are up now and have been for at least the last month.

You don't have to post the names, just post a LINK to the ebay sales, and we can then comment.

As has been said, Forever stamps are widely counterfeited and available at somewhere around 30% of face value. Don't buy them! You would be contributing to their greed. If you find one somewhere, just keep it ... don't put it on a letter and mail it.

They seem to have only stamps that have been counterfeited in the last few years.

All the books they list are only in Chinese.

They are listing lots of Chinese antique Porcelain.

and they have great feedback:

Several of the feedback implies that there is a secondary description which has to do with the sellers definition of Mint Never Hinged. I've tried to get to that secondary description, but can't figure it out. Can someone do that and show us how this person manipulates the system? Thanks.

Thank you all for the responses. I was aware of counterfeits of the Forever definitive stamps(including priority/express) but not of such a wide range of commemoratives. This seller and along with the new low feedback account are flooding the Sunday evening auctions with this paper.

Also appreciate the heads up on the proper way to format these inquiries while staying within the rules of the forum.
