Here's the blurb from Canada Post on how they are going to handle things:

as I understand this, under the US Mexico Canada trade agreement, stamps are zero rated (not subject to duties). The new executive order eliminating the de minimis rule applies to all postal shipments. So, if I buy say $500 in Canadian stamps from Canada, I am subject to $175 in duties (35%). But, if I buy $1,000 of Canadian stamps from Canada, the amount is over the de minimis limit, so I am subject to the USMCA tariff rate of 0%.
(Canada is a special case because of the USMCA - $500 or $1,000 of European stamps purchased from Europe would both be subject to the 15% duty).

As has been stated many times before, stamps are political by their very existence. Anything that potentially affects the financial end of collecting is also likely to be political in nature. The idea that politics can be separated for every thread and every post on this forum is not dealing with the reality of the above. No one is being forced to read every post of every thread; people should be able to pass by those posts that do not interest them without complaining about what they might say.

110 percent accurate.

This is simple. Have a healthy debate about a topic that cannot be divorced from politics but do so by focusing on POLICIES. Just leave the ideological animus towards the current POTUS at the door since it adds nothing and enflames passions while adding zero benefit.

Calling the current POTUS "mean" or impugning voters that have different views from yours by saying "you voted for this" etc. adds nothing.

Keep in non-personal.

I voted for the current POTUS as did the majority (that is why he is in the Oval Office). I do not like this policy. I did not vote for the last POTUS but did like some of his policies. I did not post comments calling the last POTUS "sleepy" or "corrupt" or anything else personal in nature.

Keep it civil.

That is an attempt to direct the discussion on this forum back to philatelic topics.

Anyone who actually thinks that possible has not been paying attention to what is happening, and the possible still worse happenings of the future. And calling it "zero benefit"..........
