When the rates reach 90c, I'd like to see all the classic 90c stamps reissued in original colors. A few years after that it will probably be time for the $1 stamps.

I would go for the "Classics Forever" but the Transcontinental Railroad stamps are a close second for me. I liked them a lot.

From this specific group I would pick Bugs Bunny, but I love that 90 cent idea.

A guess by reissue USPS means with the same art. There are some I'd like to see reissued with better art, for example, Star Trek. The Canadians outclassed the US on that topic. As for the vote, I'm considering Transcontinental Railroad.

NicholasC, that's a generous optimistic view of monetary inflation ahead ... when U.S. letter reaches 90c, it won't be a matter of years to reach $1, but one year, max! (Recall the current leap of 5c in 6 months, from Jan. to July 2026, reached 78c. Only 3 half-years later at 5c apiece reaches 93c!)

Still a lot cheaper than it was in 1847. That 5 cents is equal to about $1.97 today (in terms of labor value it's about $30).

I've never heard that term, "labor value". Can you explain? Thanks.

I believe it is the amount someone has to work for today to equal the work required to earn 5 cents in 1847.

I think there are several good modern stamps in the group. But at this point, reissuing a forever stamp won't entail any real change in the design - probably just new plate block numbers - so I focused on valued stamps that will be become forever stamps. I think there are four.

I like Snoopy, but have been focused on the DC Comics Superheroes - which would mean 20 stamps at new "forever" rate. That would be a challenge to collect all 20 used during its original year of release (2006) AND the new ones also used during their first year. Good luck.

The 1869 90c was reissued in the four essay, or trail colors.

I what to point out the the poll is not limited to the stamps shown, you can suggest any US stamp.

Also the folks answering the pole are not restricted to just the USA. If you can reach the website from where you live in the world, you can vote.

Now I know some votes were cast to keep away from the 250th Birthday and 1926 stamps from 100 years ago. Those votes recognized the the Boston 2026 Show as a "world's fair'" suggesting reissue of the World's Fair stamps beginning 1939 and earlier.

I would think write in votes are unlikely to poll the highest, though it would be interesting to learn which stamp was the most popular write in. Since the 2026 World Expo is Boston, the 8c Boston Tea Party 1480-83 would be cool in original form, i.e. a pane of 50 with water-activated gum. Doubt that would happen, though.

Having so many cartoon and comic options (about half of the 20) means that vote will be split. Seems unlikely many collectors will want even more flag stamps, or repetitive type issues like birthday and celebrate. The science vote gets split between Life, Trek and Eclipse. That leaves Classics, Emancipation, Treats, Breeds, Monsters and Railroad.
