Just wondering if someone could identify this Danish perfin for me...

The stamps is Scott # 335 (King Frederik IX) and has a 1957 cancellation.

I have quite a few of these. I collect Denmark and once I got to the point where I had it as complete as I would ever be able to afford (missing the very elusive Scott #21) I started collecting other stuff: postal stationery, advertising labels from booklet panes of the 1920's and perfins. I have several hundred perfins, including a couple of pages of the LB ones, since those are my initials

Please look at this Danish online Resourse one of the best at the net.

https://www.perfiner.dk/

It is in danish, scroll down when you have followed the link. press.

Katalog over Danske perfins / Perfinbillederne A - Å, Logo og Tal. it says Catalog over Danish perfins/ perfinpictures A- Å. Logo and Numbers

https://www.perfiner.dk/danske-perfiner-bind-1/

You just press the startin Letter of your Perfin LB and you will se there is a lot of LB, you just have to find the right one and write down the nb. you gonna need that in the next step.

After you found your perfin and the nb. go back to the frontpagem if you want to know the value or bettter said the rarity of your perfin. press Kombineret oversigt- og prisliste

https://www.perfiner.dk/kombineret-...g-prisliste/

Translate commbined overview and pricelist , as before press the letter you looking for and find the corresponding nbr. to you perfin.

Your perfin is not rare, but you have fun finding it

Waddsbadds nice you have all the Danish perfins, I just find it hard to belive, but thats just me :-), I know people in Denmark collecting perfins for years and they stille have a long long way to go to collect all.

Thanks for those links waddsbadds and Viking123. I see in the Danish catalogue referenced by Viking123 there are 84 "LB" perfins listed.
Viking123 I can't tell at quick look if all 84 "LB"s are the same or if there are subtle differences between each of the punches?
I have bookmarked the sites for future reference.

@rrogers

The easy way to figure it out is:

Town cancel if redable
year of the cancel yours 1957

Rule out the once it cant be. LB is tricky :-) and you have to remember there is at a lot of Danish stamp issues ;-) so you might need to make some space for it if you going to collect all 84 and the stamps which have been perforated with LB

First of all, LB 11 is not LB 12, so you just have 26 options, not 84.

Take a look at the holes of the B's vertical stroke – there are those with 4 points in between (LB 11) and those with 5 points (LB 12).

The next thing to look at should be the town it was sent from. Is the cancel readable? It's quite easy – if the town wasn't København. In this case, you could be lucky and identify it by the period of use, or … as a last chance: you print the sheets out and lay the stamp over the picture. They all have little differences.

I personally have printed all towns and collect these special ones piece by piece, plus a big section with unreadable cancels.

Thanks for all the replies. I only have 2 examples of the Danish LB perfin.
Here is a scan showing front and back in upright position as well as properly oriented images to help with identification. Can anyone identify which of the numerous LB perfin varieties I have?

The one with only 4 holes in the B stroke should be

The pair is quite difficult - you have to take a look at all L12 perfins in the perfiner.dk online catalogue with "København" plus the in use dates.
